Grade reconfiguration creating campuses for PreK - 5 and 6 - 8 grades that improve alignment with the state’s standard curriculum for elementary and junior high students.

Elementary and intermediate modifications will create neighborhood schools for grades PreK - 5, reducing the number of student transitions between campuses from three to two.  Fewer transitions resulted in improved academic performance, according to researchers. 

Moving grade 6 to junior high will give students more opportunities for advanced academics, athletics, and fine arts.

Updated junior high science labs and collaborative learning spaces will provide more hands-on learning opportunities.

Infrastructure upgrades will enhance access to technology-based learning tools.
