Azle High School’s Hornet Drones team participated in the Bell Advanced Vertical Robotics (AVR) Competition on Saturday, November 12, and did an awesome job!
The Hornets finished third out of 14 teams and earned the “Exemplary Team Award” for the first time.
Eight weeks of hard work went into preparing for this challenge and our students exhibited great professionalism and teamwork throughout the entire event.

The Bell Advanced Vertical Robotics (AVR) Competition takes place to inspire future entrepreneurs in the fields of engineering and manufacturing. Students use hands-on, industry-standard tools to design, build, and compete against teams from around the US with the most advanced aerial robotics technology available today. Participation in the Bell AVR Competition prepares students to meet rapidly changing future workforce needs both on the ground and in the air! (REC Foundation)
