Celebrations took place across the district on Thursday, June 1. Azle ISD employees with longevity in the district were awarded service pins and retirees were presented with a plaque and a rocking chair.
2022-23 Heart of Azle award recipients, District Teachers of the Year, Retirees, and Campus Teachers of the Year were celebrated with a luncheon at the Administration Building on Wednesday, May 24.
Sarah Milosh from Azle High School was named the 2022-23 District Secondary Teacher of the Year and Kameron Copass from Walnut Creek Elementary was named the District Elementary Teacher of the Year. Sarah and Kameron each received a $1,000 continuing education grant and a check for $500 from the Azle Education Foundation as well as a check for $250 from EECU! Congratulations to our 2022-23 District Teachers of the Year!
Ten employees were honored with the Heart of Azle award for exemplary customer service. Each Heart of Azle recipient received an award from the district as well as a $50 gift card from EECU.
