Today is National Constitution Day! On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by delegates to the Constitutional Convention. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every September by childhood cancer organizations around the world with the goal to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. #ChildhoodCancerAwareness
September 10-16 is Suicide Prevention Week. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10-24. It is also one of the leading causes of preventable death. The 2023 Homecoming Parade will be on Monday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. A mandatory pre-parade meeting will be held at the Azle ISD Administration Bldg. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. An adult representative for each entry MUST be present at the meeting. If a group or organization has more than one entry, there must be an adult representative for each entry present. As extreme heat conditions are forecasted to continue this week, we encourage students to fill up a water bottle before leaving campus in the afternoon. Just like any vehicle, our buses struggle to cool off in intense heat conditions due to their size and the door opening frequently between loading at campuses and at numerous stops throughout routes.
