To have an "excused" absence (see Student Handbook) a note must be sent to the school's office. Documentation for excused absences is required within two days of the student's return to campus. If the student has been out for three days and no note is received, a truancy warning letter will be sent to the parent/guardian.
For your convenience, student absences can be reported through Skyward Family Access.
To report your child absent in Skyward Family Access, follow the steps outlined below.
Log in to your Skyward Family Access account
Select the Attendance Tile on your Dashboard
Select the Absence Request tab > Select Add Absence Request
Enter the date student will be absent > Enter an Attendance Reason > Enter a Comment > Add attachment if you have one (possibly a doctor’s note) > Save
Absence Request will appear on student’s Attendance screen
