Azle ISD is excited to announce Dr. Shaunary Feller as the new principal of Azle Elementary.
Dr. Feller has worked in public education for 27 years with almost 25 years of service to Azle ISD. She has more than 15 years of experience at the 5th and 6th grade level, as a 5th grade teacher and campus counselor.
She also served as a junior high counselor before transitioning to campus administration where she spent eight years as an assistant principal at the junior high and high school level.
Since 2021, she has worked as an Instructional and 504 Coordinator in our Special Services department.
Feller received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s degree in School Counseling, and a Doctoral degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education.
She lives in Decatur with her husband who works as a Physician’s Assistant in the Southlake area. They have a daughter, Katie, who lives in Florida with her husband, Nick, and a son, Cale, an Azle graduate, who lives in Weatherford.
“Dr. Feller brings a wealth of knowledge to the position of Principal for Azle Elementary,” said Superintendent Todd Smith. “In her long tenure with Azle ISD, she has proven her commitment and passion for working with students and staff. We look forward to Dr. Feller continuing the great things happening at Azle Elementary.”
