Azle Athletics is pleased to announce John Epps as the new head boys soccer coach at Azle High School.
Coach Epps grew up in Burkburnett Texas, where he played soccer at both the club and high school levels. After graduating, he attended Tarleton State University, where he played club soccer and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Sports Kinesiology.
Epps also attended the University of Texas at Arlington to complete his Master’s degree in Curriculum in Science Education.
Coach Epps started his coaching career at Hillsboro High School where he was the head boys and girls soccer coach. He was also the varsity assistant girls soccer coach at Trinity High School and the head girls soccer coach at Splendora High School. He also coached club soccer for FC Dallas and North Texas ODP.
For the last four years, Epps has taught honors biology and served as the varsity assistant girls soccer coach and assistant swim coach at Azle High School. When not coaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, family, and friends.
