Azle Athletics is excited to announce Carlos Font as the new head softball coach at Azle High School, replacing Macy Pruit who will be working as an assistant principal beginning in the 2024-25 school year.
Coach Font is starting his sixth year in Azle ISD. Originally from Puerto Rico, he grew up playing a variety of sports. After high school, he attended Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma where he played baseball while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Communication and Master of Arts degree in Sports Management and Administration.
Coach Font teaches Spanish at Azle High School. During his time in Azle, he has taken on many roles in Azle ISD athletics, most recently as varsity assistant softball coach and junior varsity volleyball coach.
When he isn't coaching, Coach Font enjoys watching sports as well as spending time with his wife, their two-year-old daughter, and his family.
