2023-24 Employee Awards & Retirements

Celebrations took place across the district during the final week of the 2023-24 school year. Azle ISD employees with longevity in the district were awarded service pins and retirees were presented with a plaque and a rocking chair.  

2023-24 Heart of Azle award recipients, District Teachers of the Year, Retirees, and Campus Teachers of the Year were celebrated with a luncheon at the Administration Building on Tuesday, May 21.

Amy Hinkle from Forte Junior High was named the 2023-24 District Secondary Teacher of the Year and Joanna Reasoner from Eagle Heights Elementary was named the District Elementary Teacher of the Year. They each received a $1,000 continuing education grant and check for $500 from the Azle Education Foundation as well as a check for $250 from EECU! Congratulations to our 2023-24 District Teachers of the Year!

All campus teachers of the year received a $500 check from the Azle Education Foundation.

Ten employees were honored with the Heart of Azle award for exemplary customer service. Each Heart of Azle recipient received an award from the district as well as a $50 gift card from EECU.
