Azle ISD is pleased to announce that David Oestreicher has been named the district’s new Director of Technology.
Oestreicher will take over the technology department from Eddie Alford who is retiring in June.
Mr. Oestreicher is a well-known and highly respected educator and leader.
He comes to Azle ISD from Hutto ISD, where he has served as the Director of Technology and Digital Learning since 2019. He has worked in a technology position in school districts for 18 years.
Oestreicher earned his master’s degree in business administration from Tarleton State University and his bachelor’s degree in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas. He holds certification as a Certified Texas School Business Specialist from the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) and has served in leadership positions in various professional organizations.
He and his wife, Claudia, have two grown sons.
“I am excited to join Azle ISD and to help every student and staff member to have a great experience using technology,” said Oestreicher. “I believe the effective use of technology can make a difference in our schools.”
