Azle ISD

Four Azle High School art students competed at the State Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition in San Marcos on Saturday, April 27.

At State, VASE Artwork is scored on a scale of 0-5. A score of 4 earns a first-place medal and a 5 earns a coveted Gold Seal medal.

Junior Harper Herrington received the highest rating of 5, earning her a Gold Seal, and freshman Layla Brown scored a 4, earning her a State VASE medal.

Junior Guillem Blanco Jimenez and senior Kiara Wright also participated at the State competition.
