It’s not every day you encounter a team with not one, but four sets of twins. That’s right! Azle High School’s varsity football team has four sets of twins for the 2023 season!
While some might wonder about the challenges of having such a lineup, Azle’s quartet of Hornet twins is rewriting the playbook on teamwork, unity, camaraderie, locker room family, and sibling bonds.
Each set of twins brings their own unique abilities to the field and while many might expect rivalry, jealousy, or even discord, the twins’ connection goes beyond the typical teammate relationship.
Of course, having four sets of twins on a football team isn’t without its challenges. Coaches and players alike have had to adapt to the dynamics at play. Identical uniforms and matching equipment can create quite the confusion for opponents and referees as well.
