Today is National Constitution Day! On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by delegates to the Constitutional Convention. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. September 10-16 is Suicide Prevention Week. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 10-24. It is also one of the leading causes of preventable death. The 2023 AHS Homecoming Parade will be on Monday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. A mandatory pre-parade meeting will be held at the Azle ISD Administration Building on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. An adult representative for each entry must be present at the meeting. If a group or organization has more than one entry, there must be an adult representative for each entry present. An entry form must be completed and turned in by the end of the pre-parade meeting on Sept. 14. No entries will be accepted after the September 14 meeting. Azle ISD Central Registration is Thursday, July 27, from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at Azle Junior High for PreK-8th grades OR Azle High School for grades 9-12. Please bring ALL required documents with you. Azle ISD staff will be available to assist families with online registration including proof of residency, shot record verification, food service, transportation, bilingual/ESL, special services, and more. (Spanish translators will be available.) PCHD will be holding an immunization clinic for any students needing vaccinations and YMCA will be onsite for elementary after-school care registration!
