Play it Safe Program

Texas Education Code Section 28.004 requires school districts to provide guidance and prevention education. Azle ISD will provide age-appropriate curriculum for all students in Child Abuse Prevention, Domestic Violence, and Family Violence.

With the School Health Advisory Committee and School Board approval, Azle ISD has chosen the Play It Safe curriculum to provide an evidence-based prevention and personal safety program presented by The Women’s Center of Tarrant County. For descriptions of Play It Safe lessons/topics at each level, visit the following:

It's crucial for parents and guardians to be aware of and involved in their child's education, especially when sensitive topics like these are being covered. Families will need to complete an Opt-In form provided by your campus to allow student participation.

A virtual parent preview will be held on Wednesday, November 1, at 5:30 p.m. Virtual Parent Preview Invitation Flyer. If you missed the November 1 parent preview, you can access the recording at https://vimeo.com/880338129?share=copy with the password Azle23.
