Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) – For students who are ages three to five and have been identified as having a disability.

Inclusion – This instructional setting provides special education in the general education classroom in accordance with the student’s individual needs. Qualified special education personnel are involved in the implementation of the student's IEP.

Special Education Classroom/Resource – Students requiring specific instruction beyond what is available in a general education classroom may receive services in a special education setting. The amount of time a student spends there depends on his/her specific needs.

Cross Roads – Students accessing this instructional setting demonstrate significant behavioral challenges and emotional challenges that require extensive support after all other efforts have been unsuccessful. This program addresses the students’ academic and behavioral needs with highly individualized approaches and positive behavior support. Social Skills strategies are taught and students have the opportunity to interact with their typical peers to the fullest extent possible.

Social and Interpersonal Learning (SAIL) – This instructional setting provides general education curriculum for students who demonstrate significant social communication, sensory, and/or behavioral difficulties. The classroom setting includes social skills instruction, sensory and behavior modification strategies, and academic instruction based on the individual needs of the student.

Structured Learning Class (SLC) – This instructional setting offers specially designed instruction for students who require a high amount of structure paired with visual support to learn new skills. There is a high emphasis on academic support and functional routines, communication/ language, behavior, and sensory needs. Students participate in activities with their non-disabled peers, as appropriate, to help generalize skills learned in the SLC classroom.

Functional Academics – This instructional setting offers specially designed instruction for students who need a more modified curriculum to learn. A high emphasis is placed on reading, writing, and math paired with some adaptive skills. Students participate in activities with their non-disabled peers as appropriate for learning some skills.

Life Skills Class – This instructional setting prepares students with significant disabilities to participate as independently as possible in critical natural environments. Students within this classroom access the general education curriculum through prerequisite skills. A high emphasis is placed on academics, self-help, social, communication, and independent living skills. Students are typically able to participate in some activities and classes with their non-disabled peers.

18 Plus Transition Class – This setting is for students who have earned the required high school credits and are ready to begin transitioning into their final years of public school. This program is geared to expand independence, provide pre-vocational and vocational skills, expand self-advocacy skills, as well as, social and community integration. The nature of each activity is based on the post-secondary goals and needs of the individual student.
