Hornet Alert
Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, any safety or emergency-related notification from the district will start with “Hornet Alert”. This is so that recipients know that an important safety or emergency announcement is to follow. These text messages will be sent in addition to email messages.
Examples of “Hornet Alert” messages include inclement weather notifications, emergency response notifications related to situations on, or in the vicinity of, an Azle ISD campus, or other events that may pose a threat on or near an Azle ISD campus.
“Hornet Alert” text messages will be sent to district employees and parents through our automated messaging service using the contact information on file with the district. Users have the right to opt-out of receiving text messages at any time.
"Hornet Alert" messages will also be posted to district social media pages; however, the commenting feature may be disabled to protect student and staff safety.
