Emergent Bilingual/English Language Services
Information and Resources
The Azle ISD Emergent Bilingual/English Learner team is dedicated to developing programs and supporting teachers and leaders in equity, high expectations, and cultural relevance for all learners. This is done through communication and a collaborative environment where our actions are differentiated and student-centered. In Azle ISD, we have the following programs:
One-Way Dual Language
English as a Second Language Program
Campus-Based Newcomer Interventions
We serve more than 950 EBs in grades PK-12. Spanish is the most represented primary language, with 15 other languages present. Our diverse population continues to grow across the district, and so does our need to provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all multilingual students by building communication skills while working with academic language and grade-level content.
Mission: Promoting the importance of language as a means for communicating, creating, and connecting--every chance, every day.
Vision: Every language learner will graduate as a confident, skilled communicator well-prepared to enter the workforce.
