Communities in Schools
The mission of Communities In Schools (CIS) is to surround students with community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
My name is Michelle Patterson and I am Azle Elementary's Communities in School's Project Manager/Social Worker. And as the CIS Social Worker, I am here to help the students of "The Rock School" be successful in school as well as in life. Please feel free to speak with me any time if you have any questions or concerns.

What a Communities In Schools Social Worker can do for You and Your Child
I can help you and your child obtain needed resources (such as, school supplies, clothing, food, shelter, and many more). I can also assist with any other issues your child may be having in and outside of the classroom. I work with students to help with their academic skills, organizational skills, self-esteem, social skills, friendship skills, and behavior issues.
I can address issues your child may be having on an individual basis or in a group setting. I do offer lunch groups weekly in which I meet with a small group of students to address any of the above issues/concerns. Groups only meet during lunch time to ensure your child does not miss instructional time in the classroom.
Referring Your Child to the Program
If you feel your child would benefit from participating in the Communities In Schools program, you may email me or call me to enroll your child. Contact me, by phone 817-444-1312 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
